Generation II style wheel bearings are a combined wheel bearing and drive flange unit that cannot be separated, and this kit is specifically designed to handle these assemblies correctly.
By using clamshells and force plates and pins, the tool ensures that insertion loads are applied only to the outer race of the bearing, protecting the bearing assembly from damage during installation and ensuring correct fitment every time.
